Forming Your Agent Team: From LLM to Agent

New

The conversation around AI has already moved beyond prompts and chatbots. Today's engineering teams are beginning to build agents that can reason, use tools, and perform meaningful work. While many professionals have experimented with large language models (LLMs), far fewer understand how agents actually work or how to build one themselves. In this hands-on tutorial, you'll move beyond simply using AI and begin building with it. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, you'll learn the foundations of modern agentic systems and follow the evolution from LLM to agent. Along the way, you'll explore what makes agents different, how they interact with tools and systems, and how they can be applied to real software quality and engineering challenges. This session focuses on three key ideas: Understand → Build → Use. You'll develop a practical understanding of modern AI systems, create your first agent, and learn how agents can assist with meaningful work. AI is changing the way software is designed, developed, and tested. If you've been hearing about agents and wondering what comes next after ChatGPT, this is where your journey begins.

This tutorial is hands-on and requires no prior experience with AI, coding agents, or agentic systems.
